Vespers-related activities at UUC will resume in September and continue through June. If you’re interested in “promoting peace within us, between us, and beyond us” through the making of live music and contemplative evening services then mark your calendar:

The next Open Rehearsal for Vespers will be at UUC on Sun, Sept 8 at 11:30 am (until 1:00pm). This gathering is open to all singers & instrumentalists interested in learning/practicing simple and repetitive chant-like songs to be sung/played in Vespers services. Meet in the Sanctuary for an 11:30 am start for a facilitated group experience. 

The next Vespers Service at UUC will be on Wed, Sept 11 at 7:30pm (until 8:30pm). All are welcome. Come for the candle light, live music, the invitation to sing along to chant-like songs, a time for silent meditation/ contemplation/ prayer, or the opportunity to simply be in the presence of others. Gather in the silent Sanctuary at 7:15 pm for a 7:30 pm start.

REMINDER: It takes a village to make vespers possible. Yes, we need singers and instrumentalists to provide live music in services. But we also need people to help with marketing, sheet music organization, set up, candle lighting, greeting, reading, audio/visual recordings, Zoom hosting, breakdown, interfaith relationship building, and new innovations. If you’re available to help with any of that at any point this fall, please join us at our upcoming Retreat for Vespers Villagers (which will take place on the weekend after Labor Day).
