When Surrender is the Answer

Rev. Dr. Frances Sink

Acts of surrender are central to spiritual practices across world religions.  While cultural concepts of surrender tend to suggest passivity or giving up, in the spiritual dimension, surrender is an active letting go in service of commitment to deeper or larger aims such as- to live with more integrity, with more devotion, or with movement towards reconciliation. While we seldom invite surrender into our lives, life itself can invite us into surrender.
