Coming Together Again

Hello friends:
How nice it was to see many of you on the lawn IN PERSON at UUC last Sunday! The weather was lovely, and it was good to be able to greet our new minister, Rev Terri Pahucki. Our hearts were full with the love that we felt from our fellow members and friends and with gratitude for the presence of Rev Terri. Our hearts were pierced as we noticed our lovely Pride flag torn and in pieces as it lay on the ground on our front lawn. Many of you might have noted that we have received follow-up press from both Channel 12 News and the Stamford Advocate on this topic. More to follow on this in the future.

Moving forward, we will be taking a nice break next Sunday. There will be NO zoom service, and NO in person service. You can relax at home with the Sunday paper, have a nice brunch, or visit with family and friends. (I plan to catch up on my stacks of the Sunday NY Times!!!)

For the remainder of August, we will be having additional zoom services with other congregations. For August 15th and August 22nd, we will be joining, via zoom, Rev. Michael Tino of Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Northern Westchester, (www.uufellowship.org). On August 15th, Rev Tino will speaking on the topic, RISK AND REWARD:  Who bears the burden of the risk we take? How do we protect the most vulnerable? What is our obligation?

On August 22nd, Rev Tino will be speaking on CENTERING CARE—-Putting care for one another at the center of who we are.

Please note: UUF of Northern Westchester has a DIFFERENT START Time! Sunday Zoom services will start at 10:30 am. Zoom links for these services will be sent out next week.

Meanwhile, drop by the Tag Sale taking place on UUC lawn this Saturday, August 7th, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.

In love and friendship,

Lynne
