Our Affinity Groups are small, interest-based gatherings that bring people together around shared passions—whether it’s crafting with fiber, rolling dice in tabletop games, or nurturing a love of writing. These groups are grounded in the belief that meaningful connection grows from doing what you love in the company of others.

🌟 Rooted in Social Souls

All of our affinity groups have grown out of Social Souls—a UUC Stamford initiative designed to spark authentic connections by encouraging members and friends to invite one another to gather around shared interests. Whether it’s an afternoon of board games or a quiet evening of quilting, Social Souls is about saying “yes” to community, one invitation at a time.

Our affinity groups are one way Social Souls lives on: in recurring gatherings that deepen relationships, create space for play and creativity, and help us practice belonging outside of Sunday morning.

🧶 Fiber Artists –> Weekly Gatherings on Thursdays at 5:30 pm – 7:15 pm

Calling all knitters, crocheters, quilters, and textile enthusiasts! Bring your latest project (or just your curiosity) and enjoy the meditative rhythm of stitching in community. Beginners welcome—sharing tips and learning together is part of the fun.
