Welcome to Religious Education at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Stamford!  If you are looking for a place to help your children grow spiritually, learn about Unitarian Universalist Principles and values, and be part of a beloved community of faith, you have found it!

We offer Religious Education (“R.E.”) for children and youth in preschool through 12th grade taught by our teams of UUC volunteers.  Some of our volunteers have children currently participating in R. E. and others do not.   Our 2020-2021 curricular theme is “World Religions & Peace”. Visit the “Curriculum” page for descriptions of the individual curricula that the groups will be using.

In this time of physical distancing due to the continuing pandemic, our Religious Education program is thriving virtually on Zoom. This year, we will be offering Religious Education classes on Sunday afternoons.  Please complete this registration form in order to receive a link to our RE Zoom Room.  Our classes will meet as follows:

  • Prek-1st Grade = 12:00 – 12:20, with a parent
  • 2nd – 5th Grade = 12:30 – 1:30
  • 6th – 12th Grade = 2:00 – 3:00 (or at the convenience of site “visits”)

We invite children and youth to “Zoom to Worship” with their families every Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m.  There will generally be one Sunday each month that is specifically designed to be multigenerational and interactive.  On those Sundays, Religious Education classes will not take place in the afternoon.

Again, welcome to our community!

For additional information, please contact our Director of Religious Education, Darlene Anderson-Alexander, at darlene.dre.stamford@gmail.com. She would be happy to get together with you, either on Zoom or in person, or give you a call to discuss our program!
