Welcome to Religious Education at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Stamford!  If you are looking for a place to help your children grow spiritually, learn about Unitarian Universalist Principles and values, and be part of a beloved community of faith, you have found it!

We offer Religious Education (“R.E.”) for children and youth in preschool through 9th grade taught by our teams of UUC volunteers.  Some of our volunteers have children currently participating in R. E. and others do not.   Our 2019-2020 curricular theme is “Living Our Faith Tradition”.

On most Sunday mornings, the children are with us in the sanctuary for the beginning of the Service and then they go off with their teachers to the Religious Education building.  Parents are always welcome to accompany children to class to help them get settled.

  • Prek-5th graders meet in the “R.E. Classroom” downstairs and then split into two groups – Prek-1st and 2nd-5th
  • 6th graders and up meet in the conference room upstairs on “Youth Group Sundays”
  • Babies and toddlers are cared for by our nursery staff in the Community Room adjacent to the sanctuary

On some Sundays, we gather for multigenerational worship for the entire morning and occasionally R.E. groups begin directly in the R.E. Building.  Our greeters are always happy to help new folks find their way.

Again, welcome to our community!
