Samhain Service

Rev. Jen Raffensperger and Mari Rosario

Led by Mari Rosario, The UUCY Earth-Centered Spirituality Group, and Rev. Jen Raffensperger This is a SOJOURN SERVICE to the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of York, Pennsylvania and will take place ON ZOOM ONLY.

Samhain is a Gaelic festival marking the end of the harvest season and beginning of winter or “darker-half” of the year. In the northern hemisphere, it is held on 1 November, but with celebrations beginning on the evening of 31 October, as the Celtic day began and ended at sunset. The service will include traditional Samhain rituals and the connection of this important holiday with the Unitarian Universalist tradition via our Six Sources.
