Suzanne Corey-Sahlin, viola; Gunnar Sahlin, cello; Marc Chan and Benjamin Steinhardt, piano are offering a program celebrating the rich and varied music of Connecticut composers.

Pianist and composer Marc Chan of Stamford has put together a program with his own compositions as well as his arrangements of music by Charles Ives and Dave Brubeck.  The music is charming, beautiful and even funny.  In addition, there will be a performance of the beloved “Moments of Music” by New Canaan resident Gwyneth Walker, who will be in the audience.  The program, which also includes an audience singalong, is about 70 mins long.

Suggested donation: $20

Parking is free at the 17 Forest Street garage until 5 PM.

What is Emerson Hall?
Emerson Hall is the name that was selected for our sanctuary by congregational vote. Over the summer a core team set up the Emerson Hall Foundation to raise funds and seek grants for preservation of the Hall.  In September 2023, the Foundation received its 501(c)(3) non profit designation from the IRS. This allows us to seek funding, including grants, apart from our congregation’s religious classification. EHF is working closely with the UUC Board of Trustees to develop guidelines and principles for working together to ensure that our beautiful hall is enjoyed by the broader Stamford community by hosting creative learning, arts, and cultural programming while continuing to be a sanctuary to our congregation.
