General Assembly

Dear Ones,

This week I will be attending Ministry Days and our Unitarian Universalist General Assembly- both from the comfortable convenience of my own air-conditioned home! Our annual General Assembly brings together representatives from UU congregations from all over the United States and beyond to celebrate our values and connections, and vote on important business resolutions and actions of immediate witness. Recently, the decision was made to alternate off-site and in-person years for General Assembly (2025 will be in Baltimore). This year I am glad to say that for the first time since 2016, we have two delegates from UU Congregation in Stamford participating. Thank you to Trina Wong and Lynne Lane for representing this congregation! Trina and Lynne will be sharing their experience as business delegates with all of you in a summer service on July 14th. It is our hope that this will be just the beginning of a stronger relationship between UUC Stamford and the work of our larger association of congregations. You are also welcome to watch General Assembly as a non-voting participant, and invited to UUC on June 30th to watch a recording of the Closing Worship service together. More information can be found here.

Peace,
Rev. Terri
