Hope for these Times: You Are Not Alone

Take courage friends.

The way is often hard, the path is never clear,

and the stakes are very high.

Take courage.

For deep down, there is another truth:

you are not alone.

~ Wayne Arnason

Dear Ones,

These are trying times. Many of us are losing sleep, worried and anxious about what lies ahead for our country and for our lives. As we move into a week of election, please know that you are not alone. We have worked hard together this season to show up for our most cherished values. We have UU’d the Vote and joined with our interfaith partners in lifting our religious voices for pluralism, democracy, and love. We know that our embrace in these times must center those on the margins- and a multicultural, just and equitable future for all.

As we move forward into this week, I invite you to take courage and to find space to ground, to center, and simply to breathe.

On the day after election, we may not know the results– but we will come together for one another, and for our larger community, regardless of who wins (see event announcement below).

In these times, I believe, there is no greater hope than can be found in the weaving and deepening of our relationships, and in our connections with one another beyond differences, grounded in love. Please reach out if you need support.

In faith,

Rev. Terri
