As we monumentally recognize our 150-year anniversary as a presence in downtown Stamford, our Unitarian Universalist Congregation has begun the work of visioning our future. We have embarked upon the serious work of crafting Mission, Vision and Covenant statements to cement our identity, recommit to our shared values as a liberal religion, and shine our beacon brightly onto the planet.
For the past several years, we have focused on our identity and establishing a strong community with a dedicated leadership and committed membership. We know who we are. Now it is time to make our presence visible in the community by action broader than our individual involvement as volunteers.
We are identifying our strengths, areas of improvement, and ways to be outin the Community. In short, we are defining ways in which we can be and act together. Over the coming months and years, we will continue this meaningful conversation with a renewed sense of purpose.
